This beautifully-detailed print shows the town of Mendocino from across the Mendocino Bay, and is a vintage reproduction of an Emmy Lou  Packard print from the late 1960s. During her nine years in Mendocino, artist Emmy Lou Packard wove herself into the very fabric of the town. Her activism helped save the Mendocino Headlands from development, and her breathtakingly detailed woodcuts preserved the town’s rugged and natural beauty forever. A brilliant 20th-century painter, printmaker, and activist, Packard was a tireless champion of social justice.  Throughout Packard’s long career, she produced nearly 300 oil paintings, watercolors, and drawings. 8.5″ x 7.75″, unmatted. (Please note that these are not originals, but reproductions donated to us by a local non-profit.)
