This event is SOLD OUT!!!

The Kelley House Museum invites you to a special tribute to the beloved actress, Angela Lansbury. The evening begins with a hosted reception at the Blair House Inn, followed by a screening of clips from Angela Lansbury’s career, narrated by Roxy Semans, at the Matheson Theater across the street. You may know Lansbury from her famous roles as the charming sleuth in the TV series “Murder, She Wrote,” the flapper socialite in her Broadway performance of Mame, or the voice of Mrs. Potts in the animated film, Beauty and the Beast, but you’ll discover so much more to love from her impressive 79-year career.

The beautiful Blair House Inn is famous as the home of Angela’s character, Jessica Fletcher, in “Murder, She Wrote.” Enjoy delicious appetizers provided by Café Beaujolais and Trillium Café; sample wine from Murder Ridge Winery, Roederer Estate, and Scharffenberger Cellars; and satisfy your sweet tooth with a special Angela Lansbury truffle from Mendocino Chocolate Company. Explore the Inn’s rooms, including Angela’s Suite, and peruse original scripts from the TV show. Bid on items in our silent auction, with all proceeds benefiting the Kelley House Museum’s education program. Special guest Barbara Reed will regale us with stories of the celebrities who stayed at the Hill House Inn, which was featured often in the TV show. The reception will run from 5pm-6:30pm, then guests will walk across the street to the Matheson Theater for the screening and Q&A from 7-8pm.

As part of the ticket price, each guest will automatically be entered into a raffle for our grand prize: a two-night stay at the Blair House Inn (value $550). The raffle and silent auction winners will be announced after the screening.

We wish to thank the following generous sponsors:

Blair House Inn, Café Beaujolais, Trillium Café, Murder Ridge Winery, Roederer Estate,  Scharffenberger Cellars, Mendocino Chocolate Company, GoodLife Cafe & Bakery, North Coast Brewing Co., and Mendocino High School.
