March 4 SCIENCE SUNDAY comes to the Kelley House!

Dr. Walt McKeown with curator Anne Cooper

The popular series “Science Sunday” returns on March 4th, 6:30 p.m., at its new venue, Mendocino’s Kelley House Museum. Dr. Walt McKeown will give a talk on “Crushing Climate Change,” presenting various methods to stop global warming quickly. Future talks, scheduled for the first Sundays in April and May, will examine the warming effect on our Coast and lessons from the last drought to apply to the next one.

Known locally for years on radio and in print as “Colonel Wingnuts,” Dr. Walt got his Ph.D in 1993 from the University of Wisconsin. He then spent 15 years as a Navy scientist in atmospherics and oceanography. Walt started Science Sunday in 2013 at Gallery Bookshop to help balance the dominant art side of the community with some new and interesting science.

Please join Walt and others at the big friendly Kelley House Museum, 45007 Albion Street for a free, entertaining and interesting evening. All are welcome. Adult refreshments will be served. For more information please call 707-937-5791.
