Help! I am sure most of you remember the walls of Mitch Ortiz’s barbershop in Mendocino covered with photographs of many (probably most) of his customers and other people sighting near his shop. When Mitch closed his Mendocino business last year he generously donated all the photographs to the Kelley House Museum. There are enough pictures to fill five large photo albums, two of which have all the people in those pictures identified. We need help with the remaining three. Many of the pictures are of young children and young adults. So, please stop by Kelley House and lend a helping hand by identify the people in the remaining photographs. It will be a fun trip down memory lane for you, and it will help Kelley House in saving a part of our local history. The research office is open Tuesday- Friday from 9am-4pm.
