Mendocino Schools Homecoming

By Dee Stenback Lemos

On October 10, the Mendocino Schools celebrated homecoming at the Mendocino Hotel. We thank everyone at the Hotel for making our reunion such a memorable event in the Garden Room, serving a delicious lunch by such caring wait persons.

A standing ovation was given to Violet Nygard Dalrymple, 101 years “young” from the class of 1926, the oldest alumna there. She was accompanied by Mary Moffett of Mendocino who has two daughters who graduated from MHS. Others attending were Inez Ciro, Pete Ciro, Mitch Mendosa from Ukiah; Bud Stenback, Lillian Drinkwater from Comptche; Bob and Marialice Canclini from Little River; Tim and Mary Ann Kaarto from Berkeley; Florence and Hank Dahl from Caspar; Maurice and Lee Fraga and Ed Jones from Fort Bragg; Stan Story from Burney; Randy Mendosa from Arcata; Lorna Chance, Clyticann Potter, Dee Lemos, Verna Hayter, Clytie Mathews, Jeanette Hansen, Dave and Marge Fraga, Jack Lemos, Alvin Mendosa from Mendocino.

Greetings were sent by many regulars who had conflicts and could not attend.
